Text Your Customers From Your Business Number
Your myCloudPBX phone system can now send and receive text messages from a mobile number that belongs to the business. Customers never need someone's personal number, and the whole team sees the conversation.
Some Things Are Easier by Text
Plenty of jobs never quite finish on a call. You confirm an address while the customer is still on the line, chase someone who won't pick up but will read a text, or send a reference number instead of spelling it out twice. Until now, that usually meant a staff member texting from their own phone.
That works until it doesn't. The conversation lives on one person's mobile, nobody else can see it, and when that person is on leave or moves on, the history goes with them. Customers end up with a staff member's personal number, and your staff end up getting work texts at dinner.
Your phone system can now do it for you. Texts go through a mobile number that sits on your phone system, so they stay with the business, not in someone's pocket.
The Whole Team Sees the Conversation
Everyone who looks after the number sees the full history, and any of them can reply. If Jo starts a conversation in the morning and Sam picks it up after lunch, Sam can see exactly where things were left, so the customer never has to explain themselves twice.
If your business has more than one texting number, say one for Reception and another for your service team, you choose which number you're sending from.
Handy Touches
- Reply to a voicemail by text. When a customer leaves a voicemail from a mobile, you can answer it with a text straight from the voicemail. It's often quicker for both of you than a game of phone tag.
- Save new numbers as you go. When a text arrives from a number you don't know yet, save it as a contact from the conversation, and their name shows next time they text or call.
- One app for all of it. Texts sit next to your voicemail and contacts in myCloudPBX Connect, so there's one place to check, not three.
What You Need
Landline numbers can't send or receive texts, so you'll need a mobile number on your phone system. You can order one through the Cadiz3 portal in a few minutes, and your existing landline numbers keep working exactly as they do now.
Your team reads and replies in myCloudPBX Connect, our new app that runs in your browser or on Windows and Mac. Read more about Connect.
New to myCloudPBX?
myCloudPBX is the business phone system we run for Cadiz3 customers. Your numbers, call menus, queues and voicemail live with us instead of a box in your office, your team takes calls on desk phones or a softphone app, and you manage it all in the Cadiz3 portal alongside your other services with us. Get in touch and we'll show you how it would work for your business.
